How to sow peach blossoms?

How to sow peach blossoms?

1. Sowing time

Peach blossom sowing is usually carried out in spring or autumn. Its fruits mature from June to August. When they are ripe, they are harvested, the seeds inside are taken out, dried and collected, and then sown in autumn or spring. The advantages of autumn sowing are early germination, high germination rate, and rapid growth. Spring sowing requires a long period of storage, so its growth is weaker.

2. Seed selection and germination

Before preparing to sow peach seeds, they must be germinated first. Select the fuller seeds, break open the core and take out the kernel. Soak the kernels in cold water, change the water every day, and take them out after soaking for 2-3 days. Then put it in a warm place, maintain a certain humidity, and wait for it to sprout.

3. Pot soil preparation

In order to ensure better growth of peach seeds, special nutrient soil is generally prepared. Generally, a mixture of leaf mold and garden soil is used. In order to ensure its drainage, broken tiles can be placed at the bottom of the pot, or an appropriate amount of river sand can be mixed into the soil. The soil needs to be disinfected before use, spread it flat in a sunny place, and exposed to the sun to kill the germs and insect eggs in it.

4. Seeding and Seedling Raising

Fill the flowerpot with soil, dig a small hole in the middle and put the seeds in it. If they have already sprouted, they need to face the sprouts downwards and cover them with soil. After sowing, water thoroughly once. After the seedlings grow out, they can be exposed to light appropriately, but not to strong light. One month after the seedlings emerge, you can apply some liquid fertilizer to them.
