When does peach blossom bloom? How to promote peach blossom

1. Flowering time

Peach blossoms usually bloom from March to April. Its flowers are solitary, open before the leaves, and are between 2.5-3.5 cm in diameter. The pedicel is very short, the calyx has 5 segments, and the surface is glabrous. The petals are oval in shape and mostly pink in color, white is relatively rare. It has 20-30 stamens, the anthers are crimson, and the style is almost the same length as the stamens.

2. Flower promotion method

1. Increase light: Peach blossoms prefer light, and their normal growth cannot be separated from sufficient light. Especially during the flower bud differentiation period, increasing light can promote the growth of flower buds. It also helps the plant to photosynthesize, which allows it to accumulate more nutrients in preparation for flowering.

2. Control watering: Plants tend to prioritize their own growth when there is sufficient water, and peach blossoms are no exception. When there is insufficient water, the plant will supply nutrients to flowering. Therefore, you can control water by extending the watering interval and reducing the amount of water during watering. Appropriate dryness can promote flowering.

3. Appropriate fertilization: Peach blossoms need certain nutrients to bloom. If the nutrients are insufficient, they will only grow buds but not bloom. In this case, you can add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, which will help the plant bloom. In addition, attention should be paid to the amount of nitrogen fertilizer used in daily maintenance. If too much nitrogen fertilizer is used, it will cause excessive growth, which is not conducive to flowering.

4. Suitable temperature: The reason why peach blossoms bloom in spring is because the temperature rises in spring, which promotes the growth of the plants. If the temperature is low, it will be difficult for the plant to bloom. In this case, the temperature needs to be raised appropriately, but not too high. Large temperature differences can also cause petals to fall off.
