Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Daphne koreana

Causes and treatments for yellow leaves of Daphne koreana

1. Too much light

1. Reason: It is not resistant to strong light. If the plant is exposed to strong light for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow and burn if you are not careful. In severe cases, it will be directly sunburned to death.

2. Treatment method: The Osmanthus fragrans should be placed in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance. The plant must not be exposed to direct sunlight. It can be exposed to the sun in the morning and evening when the sunlight is relatively mild.

2. The temperature is too low

1.Reason: Too low temperature will cause the Osmanthus fragrans to stop growing and enter a dormant state. When the temperature is below 5℃, the plants are prone to frostbite, and the leaves will turn yellow and fall off continuously.

2. Treatment method: It should be moved indoors and placed in a sunny place for maintenance. The room temperature should be kept above 5℃. It can also be covered with plastic film to prevent cold.

3. Excessive watering

1. Reason: Osmanthus fragrans is a plant with fleshy roots, and its roots are prone to rot in soil with high moisture content. Therefore, excessive watering or watering too frequently can easily cause the plant to rot and the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Stop watering immediately. If the roots are rotten, remove the plant from the pot immediately, trim off the rotten roots, and then plant it in a new sterilized potting soil.
