Do roses prefer acidic or alkaline soil? Soil configuration

Do roses prefer acidic or alkaline soil? Soil configuration

1. Do you prefer acidic soil or alkaline soil?

It likes acidic soil. Therefore, when watering the plants, you should add an appropriate amount of vinegar or ferrous sulfate to the water to maintain the acidity of the soil. Otherwise, the alkalinity will increase over time, which will naturally hinder normal growth and cause various growth problems. Such as leaves turning yellow and failure to bloom. In addition, attention should be paid to the configuration of the soil.

2. Soil Configuration

In addition to the pH value of the soil, you should also pay attention to its looseness, air permeability, drainage and fertility. Only when these aspects are met can it grow vigorously. When preparing the soil, you can use four parts of leaf mold, three parts of garden soil, two parts of river sand, and then mix in one part of cake fertilizer to increase the nutrients. Alternatively, you can use six parts of leaf mold, three parts of sand and then mix one part of cake fertilizer to make suitable culture soil. In addition, use seven parts of leaf mold, two parts of perlite and one part of river sand, which can also meet its growth needs.

3. Notes

During the maintenance period, no matter which method is used to prepare the soil, the soil must be replaced according to needs. If it is planted in a potted plant, the soil needs to be changed once every one or two years. Otherwise, it will not only lack nutrients, but also insufficient growth space, which will inhibit its growth. If it is planted in the ground, mix in an appropriate amount of new soil to meet its needs so that it can grow vigorously.
