1. Wash first or repair first

For succulent plants, wash the roots first and then trim them, because only after cleaning them thoroughly can you know whether or where the roots need to be trimmed. Root washing is mainly to clean insect eggs or fungi and mildew stuck on the roots, leaves, etc. of succulents. Wash the roots by shaking them back and forth in a basin of water. Be gentle when cleaning to reduce the extent of root damage. Do not use large amounts of water to wash the roots, otherwise a large number of roots will be broken. If you find pests in the roots or soil, you can soak the roots in pesticides for 3-5 minutes to kill the pests.

After cleaning the roots, if the roots of the plant are too vigorous, appropriate root pruning can be performed. Prune off old roots, blackened diseased roots, dead roots and other parts that affect growth to encourage the succulents to grow new fibrous roots. After root pruning, the regenerated roots will make the plant grow stronger.

2. How to use

You can dilute carbendazim with water and soak the succulents in the solution for one to two minutes to disinfect and sterilize them. Then place it in a ventilated place to dry. If you find pests on the roots when washing the roots, you can soak the succulents in a solution of carbendazim to eliminate the pests. Then when pruning the roots, wounds will appear on the plants. You can apply carbendazim powder or soak the plants in carbendazim solution to help the wounds heal.
