Cultivation methods and precautions of yellow horn orchid

Cultivation methods and precautions of yellow horn orchid

1. Soil

Its requirements for soil are not particularly high. As long as the soil is relatively loose, it can provide enough oxygen for the roots and is not prone to waterlogging. When preparing the soil in normal circumstances, you can use leaf mold as the main ingredient and mix it with some coarse sand and some base fertilizer.

2. Water

If the plant is not managed properly, such as watering too much or too little, adverse conditions may occur. The method of watering is that if you find that the surface of the potting soil is dry, you should water it in time. The amount of watering in winter should be reduced appropriately, basically once every 10 days or so.

3. Lighting

It is a relatively light-loving plant. It is best to place it outdoors in spring and autumn, where it can be exposed to sunlight all day long. It is best to place it near an indoor window in the summer, and use a white gauze curtain to block it when the sunlight is strong.

IV. Precautions

When raising the plants, you should pay special attention to the amount of water. If there is too much water, yellow leaves will appear, and in severe cases, the plants will die. Water only when the soil is dry. There is no need to water every day. It cannot tolerate the cold of winter, so flower lovers in the north need to move it indoors to ensure that it survives the winter safely.
