Light/soil/temperature/water/fertilization method for bellflower

Light/soil/temperature/water/fertilization method for bellflower

1. Adequate sunlight

It is a long-day plant that likes sufficient light and needs to be given sunlight for a long time. This will have a greater impact on the opening and color of the flowers. However, in summer, it is necessary to provide shade and sun protection to prevent exposure to the sun.

2. Suitable soil

The soil requirements are roughly the same as those for other plants. Loose, breathable, and well-drained soil is needed, with a pH value of approximately 5.5-6.2, which can provide a good foundation for growth. Be sure to put it in the sun to dry before potting it, as this can help disinfect it.

3. Temperature range

It is quite sensitive to temperature, and the best growth temperature is maintained at 13-18 degrees Celsius. It needs to be cooled if it exceeds 33 degrees Celsius in summer, and the temperature in winter is best maintained at 3-5 degrees Celsius.

4. Water supplement

The potting soil needs to be moist and water should be replenished in time to avoid drought. During the high temperature period in summer, you can water it once a day, and remember to spray water to keep it moist when it is dry. When applying water on a daily basis, you should also pay attention to adding an appropriate amount of water and not too much.

5. Fertilization requirements

The fertilizer requirement is medium. Apply fertilizer in time according to growth needs to maintain the balance of various elements. Do not apply fertilizer after mid-September.
