Can mangosteen seeds be planted in pots?

1. Can I grow potted plants?

The mangosteen seeds we have left over can be planted in potted plants, but it is not the main method of propagation. The operation is also rather troublesome and cannot be used for large-scale planting. It is still okay to plant them in potted plants at home for daily viewing. Generally, the methods of reproduction include cuttings, layering, division and grafting. These methods can ensure normal growth and quality.

2. Planting Method

1. After eating the mangosteen, leave the core, remove the outer flesh, and rinse it with running water. Then soak it in clean water, change the water once a day, and wait for about 15 days for it to sprout.

2. Prepare a small flowerpot, fill it with nutritious soil, add a little organic fertilizer to ensure sufficient nutrients for growth, then water it thoroughly to promote the fit between seeds and soil.

3. Plant the germinated seeds in a flowerpot with the bud point facing upwards and bury them in the soil. Cover them with a thin layer of soil and spray them with clean water using a spray bottle to moisten the surface soil.

4. After planting, place it in a diffuse light environment. When the soil in the pot is completely dry, spray it with moisture. After about 10 days, roots will take root and seedlings will emerge.
