Peacock ball sowing method

Peacock ball sowing method

1. Prepare the soil

Although peacock balls are not often sown in real life, this is also one of the methods of reproduction. Before sowing, it is crucial to prepare suitable potting soil. The flowerpot needs to be breathable and have drainage functions. There should be drainage holes at the bottom. It does not need to be too high. The overall shape needs to match the peacock ball plant. The choice of soil is very important. You can mix peat soil, garden soil, coarse sand, and vermiculite. You should also add a small amount of wood ash to increase nutrition.

2. Choose seeds

Seeds for sowing and planting can be purchased from a specialized seed store. It is best to buy fresh seeds of the year, with no damage on the surface and they should be full and plump to have a good chance of survival.

3. Sowing seeds

The best time to sow is in spring, when climate and other factors are also suitable, which is conducive to the seeds germinating as soon as possible. Fill the prepared flowerpot with soil, water it thoroughly, then sow the seeds in, and cover them with a thin layer of soil, which does not need to be too thick, just enough to cover the seeds.

4. Post-maintenance

After sowing the seeds, spray water frequently to keep them moist and promote their growth. Place them in a sunny place so they can absorb sunlight.
