How to care for potted jade plants

How to care for potted jade plants

1. Choice of flower pots

1. Material requirements for flower pots

If you want to plant it in a pot, you must first choose a suitable pot. Generally, you can use clay pots, plastic pots, porcelain pots, ceramic pots, etc., but in order to coordinate with your home decoration, the most commonly used is the porcelain pot, which is beyond doubt.

2. The size of the flower pot

After selecting the material of the flower pot, you need to look at the size of the pot. Generally, we determine the size of the pot according to the size of the jade plant. Normally, a pot with a diameter of 16 to 28 cm is sufficient.

2. Selection of potting soil

People who know it know that it is not very cold-resistant and generally prefers a dry, well-ventilated environment. It also does not have high requirements for soil. As long as the soil is loose, fertile and well-drained, sandy loam is generally the best. After selecting the soil, we need to mix it, usually by mixing some leaf mold, garden soil and river sand. In addition, because it is very drought-resistant and is afraid of the soil being too wet, when choosing the soil, be sure to use soil that is not too wet.

3. Watering correctly

When caring for its potted plants, watering is also very important. Generally, when it is growing, you should always keep the soil in the pot moist. If the soil does not drain well during this process and you water too much, water will easily accumulate and cause the roots to rot. But you can't let the soil in the pot get too dry, otherwise it will easily cause the leaves to fall. When watering, we can control the amount of watering according to weather conditions and temperature. Generally, we can water it a little more in summer. At the same time, we must pay attention to ventilation and cooling in the room so that it can grow better. Then in winter, we must control the amount of watering. Generally, we only need to water it once every 7 to 10 days. In addition, when watering, you should also be careful not to let too much water remain on the leaves, especially in summer, otherwise it will be bad for the leaves.
