How to grow fairy fingers to make them bloom more

Control nutrients

Autumn is the growth period of flower buds of fairy fingers, especially September to October, which is an important period for the cultivation of several kinds of nutrients for the buds of fairy fingers. At this time, the fairy fingers need to be exposed to more sunlight and the branches should be lightly pruned to make the flower buds grow on strong stems, so that there will be sufficient nutrients for flowering.

Appropriate bud thinning

During the budding period of the fairy finger, sometimes there may be too many flower buds. At this time, bud thinning is necessary. When thinning the buds, you can keep the large ones and remove the small ones, and keep a larger flower bud at the top of each node. If the stem node is relatively strong, you can keep two flower buds.

Control water and fertilizer

During the bud-forming period of the fairy finger, the temperature is relatively low, so the growth is relatively slow, so there is not much demand for water and fertilizer. At this time, watering and fertilizing are not needed too much. If too much, the plant may not absorb water and nutrients normally. In severe cases, it may cause buds to fall off and the plant to rot. Therefore, during this period, it is best to control water and fertilizer.

Pest and disease control

When growing cactus fingers, it may occasionally be infected by pests such as red spider mites, causing the leaf nodes of the plant to fall off. It needs to be prevented and controlled in time, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on flowering.

Need antifreeze

The budding period of the flowers of the fairy finger is at the end of October to the beginning of November. The growth of the buds will be concentrated in the winter, and the temperature in winter will drop, even to a low temperature that can easily cause frostbite on the fairy fingers. Therefore, it is best to place the fairy fingers in a warm place indoors that can be exposed to sunlight. If there are no warming measures indoors, you also need to pay attention to keeping warm.
