Cultivation methods and precautions of Jingye

Daily maintenance points

Looking at the lovely succulent plant, I'm sure you're already itching to plant a pot of Serenity at home, but you're worried about not being able to take good care of it, right? Next, the editor will introduce to you some things to pay attention to in maintaining quiet night at home!

Watering

During the growing period of quiet night, the soil must be kept moist to avoid waterlogging. In other seasons, water the plants according to the dryness or wetness of the season. Water more when the weather is dry, and reduce the watering frequency appropriately when the weather is humid.

sunshine

It can be exposed to full sunlight. If there is sufficient light, the tips of the leaves of the nightshade will appear delicate and rosy, and that will be the most beautiful succulent nightshade.

soil

The main thing is to make the soil permeable and breathable. You can refer to the soil made of coal slag mixed with peat and a small amount of perlite, the ratio of which is about 5:4:1.

Reproduction

The propagation of quiet night shrub is divided into leaf cuttings and division, which is very convenient.

The success rate of leaf cuttings is high, but it takes a long time, but the germination rate is very high.

To divide the plant, you have to wait for the Jingye growth period. The plant grows very fast during the Jingye growth period and it is easy to produce side buds. When the side buds grow up a little, they can be divided. Once you master these techniques, it will be easy to prepare for dividing the plant.

Breeding precautions

aestivation

Jingye will enter a dormant state in summer. If it is placed outdoors, it will easily be sunburned to death, so we must place it in the shade to avoid direct sunlight. At the same time, we must also pay attention to the number of watering. The weather is humid in summer, so watering it once a month is enough.

winter

Jingye can withstand temperatures as low as around -2°C, which is the indoor temperature, not the outdoor temperature. If it is lower, the top growth point of the leaves will be frostbitten, dry up and die. It basically needs to be cut off from water throughout the winter, and it needs to be cut off from water when the temperature drops below 5 degrees.
