How to grow Lina lotus

How to grow Lina lotus

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It has very low requirements for maintenance temperature. The temperature cannot be lower than 0 degrees. Below 0 degrees will cause frostbite. The high temperature cannot exceed 35 degrees. Too high will cause the plant to stop growing.

2. Watering: During the growing season, add water once a week, and once every half a month during the non-growing season. Each time you water, the soil needs to be completely watered. You can also use the immersion pot method to water the plants, that is, put the pot into the pool and take it out after the soil is completely wet.

3. Fertilization: Fertilizer is needed once a month during the growing period, which will help the plant to grow out of the pot. Fertilizer is not needed at other times as the nutrients in the soil can already meet its needs. Fertilizers should include nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers.

4. Light: Except for summer, other seasons can have full-day sunshine. Shade is needed in summer, generally more than 50% of light is needed.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: There are many ways to reproduce it, such as sowing, cutting, decapitation, etc. Among them, the decapitation method has the highest survival rate. The best time to cut off the leaf is in spring, cut off the leaf disc from the top, then disinfect the incision, place the cut leaf disc in a ventilated and cool place for two days, and after the incision is dry, plant it in sandy soil, and it will grow roots in about two weeks.

2. Pruning: The time for pruning Lina Lotus is not fixed. When pruning, you only need to cut off the dry and yellow branches and leaves, and then disinfect the incision. After completing the above steps, put it in a cool place for a few days, and then maintain it normally. During the period when the incision is not dry, avoid watering the incision to prevent infection.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Pests: Plants are often attacked by borers. If found, mix 75% of thiophanate-methyl with water at a ratio of 1:800, and then spray the infected areas.

2. Pathology: If it is infected with rust or leaf spot, you can also use chlorothalonil for spraying. The usage method is the same as that for insect pests.

IV. Other issues

1. Value: It has the ability to purify the air and absorb computer radiation. Therefore, for office workers who spend a long time in front of the computer, it is very useful to place two pots of Lina lily on the table.

2. Toxicity: It is non-toxic and harmless, so you can plant it with confidence. In addition to the purification ability mentioned above, it also has a high ornamental value. Placing two pots at home can not only purify the air, but also enhance the taste of the entire home.
