How to grow Aloe Queen

How to grow Aloe Queen

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It does not have high requirements for temperature, but when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, you need to pay attention, because the tolerance of the roots of the plant is slightly worse than that of the branches and leaves. When the air temperature is 30 degrees, the temperature in the soil will rise due to the airtightness of the soil. Therefore, when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, you need to spray the plant with water mist to help cool it down. If the sunlight is particularly strong, you also need to provide shade.

2. Watering: Proper water control helps the growth of the plant, especially during its growth period. But it does not mean that no watering is needed at all. Generally, water is applied once every one to two weeks. Not too much water is needed, just wet the soil completely. The time should be chosen at night. The temperature is relatively high during the day, and the water evaporates quickly, which fails to achieve the purpose of hydration.

3. Fertilization: No fertilizer is needed except during the growing period. During the growing period, the growth is relatively vigorous, and phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer needs to be applied once every half a month, so that the branches and leaves can grow more luxuriantly.

4. Light: If there is sufficient light, the branches and leaves can grow green and strong, but the amount of light does not need to be too much, generally no more than five hours a day is enough.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be propagated by sowing. Put its seeds in the refrigerator for a month, then sprinkle the seeds on moist soil. There should be no covering on it. Then put it in a cool place, spray it with water mist, and wait for it to germinate.

2. Repotting: The time of repotting is determined by its growth rate. Fast-growing plants need to be repotted once a year, while slow-growing plants need to be repotted every two to three years. Its root system is very fragile, so be careful not to damage the roots when repotting. When preparing new soil, you need to consider drainage and air permeability. In addition, you need to add base fertilizer to the soil.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Pests: The insect that Aloe Queen is most susceptible to is the borer, which grows in the soil. If the plant is infected, you need to change the soil and disinfect the old soil.

2. Pathology: If the branches and leaves become waterlogged, it may be because there is water accumulation in the soil, causing the roots of the plant to rot. In this case, it is necessary to dig it out, trim the rotten parts, and then replant it.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is non-toxic and can be cultivated with confidence.

2. Is it suitable for indoor breeding: It is too large and has a high demand for light, so it is not suitable for home breeding.
