Peanut sprouts

When Huahua ate fried peanut sprouts for the first time, she was totally shocked! It’s because I eat a lot of peanuts on a normal day, but very little peanut sprouts!

step:

1. If you want to make your own peanut sprouts, you must first choose healthy peanuts with full grains and smooth skin. Remember that the peanuts must be raw. If they are cooked or fried, they will no longer be able to sprout.

2. Soak the raw peanuts in a box, making sure the water covers all the peanuts. After soaking for about 1 day, rinse it with clean water.

3. Wrap the peanuts with a damp cloth, place them in a dark place, spray water 2-3 times a day, and keep the temperature above 25°C.

4. In about a week, you can see the peanuts sprouting.

5. Wait for another 4-5 days until the peanut sprouts grow to more than 5cm, then you can eat them! Peanut sprouts have the effect of lowering blood lipids and delaying aging. They have very high nutritional value and taste great whether they are fried or eaten cold!

Tips: When sprouting peanuts, be sure to choose fresh and healthy peanuts. Never use moldy peanuts, otherwise the sprouts will be poisonous!

Plant small potted plants

In addition to making sprouts to eat, small peanut pots are also very beautiful!

step:

1. Place the peanuts on a wet paper towel to germinate. After about 1-2 days, you will see the peanuts sprout.

2. Find a plastic bottle, tighten the lid, then cut a hole on the side and put the sprouted peanuts in the plastic bottle with the sprouted side facing the inside of the bottle.

3. Fill the bottle with water, roughly enough to cover the peanut sprouts. It will take about 3-5 days for the peanut sprouts to grow longer.

4. Place the plastic bottle in a sunny place. In about 1-2 weeks, the peanuts will become lush small potted plants. How about it, isn’t it very simple?

Peanut shells and moldy peanuts as compost

What can you do with the peanut shells left after peeling peanuts? Of course, it is used to make fertilizer! Using nitrogen fertilizer made from fermented peanut shells to grow flowers not only saves you a penny, but also makes the flower roots strong and the leaves green and grow vigorously. It's really killing two birds with one stone!

step:

1. The best way to completely crush the peanut shells is to wrap them in a plastic bag and crush them completely with your feet.

2. Put the crushed peanut shells in a plastic bucket and add 80% water. In order to prevent insects, you can also spray some insecticide. You can also add some EM bacteria or orange peels for deodorization.

3. Place the plastic bucket in the sun to speed up fermentation. Open the bottle cap every 2-3 days to release the air and prevent the bottle from exploding. When the peanut shells sink to the bottom and the water begins to turn black, they are fully decomposed.

4. Take out the blackened fertilizer water on the upper layer and dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:10 to water the flowers. In addition, you can also pour water into the bottle to continue fermenting the fertilizer.

Peanut shells as orchid planting material

Huahua has always felt that orchids are one of the more difficult flowers to grow, especially the soil for growing orchids. If the soil is not loose and breathable enough, the roots will rot if you are not careful with watering! Until an old flower farmer told me that peanut shells are the most suitable for growing orchids!

1. Crush the peanut shells and put them in a plastic bucket or any container.

2. Add water to a plastic bucket and soak the peanut shells for a few days. During this period, you must constantly change the water. Then add some fermentation agent to the peanut shells to promote fermentation.

3. In summer , it takes basically 1-2 months to successfully ferment the fertilizer. Growing orchids with decomposed peanut shells can make the roots of the orchids thick and strong, and will definitely prevent the roots from rotting!

Peanut shells as a base for the basin

Peanut shells are something that allows air to flow. When you grow flowers, you can put them at the bottom of the pot to make the soil loose, breathable and water-permeable, and the flowers won’t rot for 10 years! Before repotting the flowers, place a thin layer of peanut shells at the bottom of the pot.
