How to plant flower seeds

How to plant flower seeds

1. Prepare the soil

Before planting flower seeds, the flower pots and soil must be prepared. Choose a flowerpot with good air permeability and drainage holes at the bottom to facilitate the control of water application. The soil must have good air permeability and nutrition. It can be prepared with peat soil, garden soil, river sand, etc. The proportion can be increased or decreased according to the type of flowers to avoid large clods of soil.

2. Prepare seeds

Prepare the seeds and choose the type you like. You can buy them directly from a seed store, or you can collect and dry the seeds from the plants. If the seeds have a hard shell, you can first soak them in warm water and place them in a warm and suitable place to ripen and sprout. This way, the survival rate will be higher when sown.

3. Sowing and Planting

Sow the seeds evenly. Generally, seeds with smaller particles like sunlight, so they do not need to be covered with soil, or they can be covered with a thin layer to prevent them from being blown away by the wind. For some larger seeds, they can be buried deeper and covered with relatively thick soil, but not too thick to avoid difficulties in germination.

4. Watering and maintenance

After planting the seeds, water them with enough water, making sure they are watered thoroughly and evenly. Place it in a cool, diffused light place first, and then expose it to sunlight after the plant gradually adapts to growth.
