How to grow sea red beans

How to grow sea red beans

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: Since its origin is near the tropics, it prefers higher temperatures. Generally speaking, it is good to keep it between 25 and 30 degrees. It has good high temperature resistance and generally does not need to be adjusted in summer. But its resistance to low temperatures is relatively poor, so it needs to be protected from the cold.

2. Light: Sea red beans like light, but they are also somewhat shade-tolerant. Too much light is not good. Therefore, when caring for it, generally speaking, it only needs to be exposed to light before 9:30 in the morning and after 3:30 in the afternoon. Especially in summer, it is necessary to do a good job of sun protection. Winter doesn't have to be so strict.

3. Watering: Sea red beans like moisture. From spring to autumn, it is the season when more water is needed. Generally speaking, the interval between watering is one to four days, which can be determined according to the climate. In winter, water it once every three to seven days.

4. Fertilization: It needs fertilizer, but not too much. It can only be used in spring and summer, generally two to four times per season.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be propagated by cuttings in late spring or early autumn. Generally speaking, it is more appropriate to choose tenderer branches for cuttings. The length should be between five and fifteen centimeters and have more than three nodes. After cuttings, the temperature should be between 20 and 30 degrees. It is not good to be too low or too high. The degree of shading should be controlled between 50 and 80 percent.

2. Pruning: The best time for concentrated pruning is in winter, when it is in a dormant state. Cut off all unsuitable branches, such as weak, diseased, insect-infested, and dead branches.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Generally speaking, the resistance of sea beans is relatively strong, so they rarely get sick. There are relatively more of them in summer, so prevention can be taken in advance.

2. Pests: There are not too many types of pests. When they appear, spraying pesticides to control them is very effective.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: The fruits of the sea bean are poisonous, so be careful not to eat them by mistake.

2. Can it be raised at home? Generally not. The most important reason is that it is relatively tall and generally cannot be placed freely at home.
