How to cultivate coral grass

How to cultivate coral grass

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It is suitable for growing in a warm environment. The ambient temperature should not be too high or too low. If the temperature is too high, the plant may stagnate in growth. If the temperature is too low, it may be frostbitten. Therefore, the ambient temperature should generally be kept above zero degrees.

2. Watering: It likes relatively moist soil, but there should be no flooding during the growing period. In winter, you should reduce watering. In summer, you can replenish water by spraying water mist, which can also reduce the occurrence of water accumulation.

3. Light: It likes plenty of light and can accept full sunlight. However, if the sunlight is too strong in summer, it also needs shade to prevent sunburn.

4. Fertilization: Normal growth requires timely replenishment of soil fertilizer. Apply diluted organic fertilizer once every 15 days or so. Potassium fertilizer can be applied once before flowering, and fertilization can be stopped in winter.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Cuttings and divisions are two important methods. Cuttings are best done from March to April. Choose one-year or two-year-old branches, then cut about 15 cm and directly cut them into the soil. If you want to divide the plant, it is recommended to do it when repotting in spring. Separate the plants around the mother plant and plant them in pots.

2. Pruning: The best time for pruning is in autumn every year. Cut some branches shorter to facilitate the sprouting of new branches. The plant shape will be more perfect next year. Usually, no pruning is required during the growth period. Yellowing branches and leaves can be picked off by hand at any time.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Generally, there are no diseases. The branches and leaves may dry up due to improper shading, so if the cultivation is normal, there is no need to worry about any diseases.

2. Pests: Pests are almost non-existent. Just pay more attention to gout.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is non-toxic and can be used as medicine to clear away heat and stop swelling.

2. Can it be raised at home? Yes, but you need to pay attention to ventilation when raising it indoors.
