Making of Water and Dry Bonsai of Beauty Plum

The beauty plum can be made into water and land bonsai. The water and land bonsai has both waterscape and dryscape. The water and dryscape are in harmony and harmoniously form a landscape in the style of ink painting. It is a very exquisite and artistic bonsai model. It is also very suitable to make the beauty plum into a water-land bonsai. First, you need to choose a shallow flowerpot with a drainage outlet in it, and then determine the water and land positions. One side should be used to plant the beauty plum, and the other side should be water, generally with land as the main area. We also need to prepare one or two rocks. Generally, the stone used for landscape bonsai is Yingde stone. The selection of rocks should be in line with your own aesthetic taste. Grind the bottom of the selected rocks flat and place them in the flowerpot according to your own taste. Use cement to fix the placed rocks to the bottom of the flowerpot. Now you can add water to see if there is any leakage to the "land". If so, fill it with cement.

The next step is to plant the beauty plum on land. Choose the beauty plum, which is a shorter plant that has grown in pots for many years. Then plant the beauty plum together with the soil in the "land" created in the flowerpot.

How to make a bonsai of plum blossom

First, we need to select a smaller plum plant that is suitable for potted plants and plant it in a suitable flowerpot. We need to place the flowerpot in a ventilated and sunny place and keep the soil moist at all times, but no water should accumulate in the pot. Pay attention to the season when applying fertilizer. Generally, it is in mid-to-late May, and cake fertilizer water is used as top dressing before the beauty plum buds are formed. Fertilization can be carried out one or two times in early August, and again after autumn.

We also need to pay attention to thinning the branches. At this time, we can prune according to the principle of "leave old branches alone, keep the strong and remove the weak". The branches of the potted beauty plum should be pruned after one year, depending on the needs of the potted shape. The long branches can be cut less, and the short branches can be cut more. There is also the work of picking buds and pinching the tips. The buds on the old trunks should be removed in time, and the others can be pruned according to the shape of the potted plants.
