How to plant hawthorn trees

1. Planting time

The most suitable time to plant hawthorn trees is March to April every spring when the temperature rises slightly. The climate during this period is relatively suitable, and the planted seedlings are easier to survive. In addition, if it is planted outdoors, it is best to plant it on the second or third day after the rain, which can increase its survival rate.

2. Planting Method

1. Processing seedlings: Select some seedlings with healthy roots and no diseased leaves, take them out of the old soil, and cut off some side branches and small roots with scissors. Then put them in disinfectant water to disinfect them.

2. Land preparation and fertilization: Choose a place with loose soil and good light conditions as the planting site. 7-10 days before planting, turn over the flower soil and apply some base fertilizer.

3. Dig planting holes: At the selected planting site, dig some planting holes with a row spacing of 3m. The depth of the pit should be determined according to the age of the purchased seedlings. If the seedlings are small and their root systems are not very developed, you can dig shallower. On the contrary, you can dig deeper.

4. Planting: Take out the seedlings and gently place them in the planting pit. Then fill the hole with the surrounding flower soil, and gently step on the soil surface with your feet to make the soil firm. Then, water it once and take care of it slowly.
