How to raise yew seedlings

How to raise yew seedlings

1. Astigmatism environment

When the yew seedlings are in the stage of being shade-tolerant, they must be shaded during maintenance to create a cool, diffuse light environment. They must not be exposed to direct strong sunlight, otherwise the plants will lack water and dry up. In the morning or evening, the intensity of sunlight outside is not very strong, so you can get appropriate exposure to sunlight to promote the synthesis of nutrients.

2. Proper watering

The demand for water varies in different seasons. During the spring growth stage, in order to ensure normal growth, you can water it every 5-7 days. The temperature is relatively hot in summer and the evaporation is relatively large, so you can water the plants every 3-5 days. It grows slowly in winter and requires less water, so it can be watered once every 7-10 days. In addition to normal water replenishment, you also need to spray water to maintain humidity. The environment should not be too dry.

3. Apply fertilizer

Under normal maintenance, fertilizer is needed to ensure growth. It is best to choose decomposed organic fertilizer. You can apply peanut cakes, sesame cakes, etc., which can supplement the growth needs, but be careful not to make the concentration too high, otherwise it will cause damage to the seedlings.

4. Replace the potting soil

The saplings grow very fast and have a well-developed root system. The original pots will restrict their growth. The potting soil needs to be replaced after one year, and then the saplings should be planted in the new potting soil.
