How often should you water Spathiphyllum?

How often should you water Spathiphyllum?

1. Spring and Autumn

The temperature in spring and autumn is relatively mild, without extreme high or low temperatures. The growth is also very rapid at this time. There are certain requirements for water, and sufficient water is needed to supply growth. Under normal circumstances, you can water the plant every 3-5 days, and then water it when the soil in the pot becomes slightly dry. In early spring and late autumn, the temperature has dropped and the frequency of watering needs to be reduced during these two periods.

2. Summer

The temperature rises in summer, generally above 28 degrees. The evaporation is also very strong at this time, so the watering interval needs to be shortened. Otherwise, the plant will not absorb water, which will lead to growth problems and the leaves will become dry and yellow. At this time, you need to water it every 2 days or so to ensure sufficient moisture. In addition to watering the roots, you also need to spray water around the edges to keep the leaves moist, which can make the leaves shiny and glossy, and their ornamental value will be much better.

3. Winter

The temperature in winter is relatively low, generally below 10 degrees. At this time, the growth is slow and the evaporation is very small. There is not much demand for water, so the frequency of watering should be reduced. You can water it every 6-8 days, and wait until the surface of the soil is dry before watering again. Never water too much.
