How to Grow a Soft Branch Tea Tree

How to Grow a Soft Branch Tea Tree

1. Prepare the soil

Preparations should be made before planting. Soft-branch tea trees are more suitable for growing in breathable, loose soil with good water retention capacity, so suitable soil should be prepared first. If you are planting on a large scale, you need to pick out small stones and other debris in the soil. It is best to expose the soil to the sun before using it to disinfect it.

2. Choose good varieties

Generally speaking, planting is mostly done by cuttings and grafting. When planting, you must first select healthy and strong seedlings. Only by selecting relatively good seedlings can the survival rate after planting be higher. The time should also be chosen well, and it can be planted around October or February.

3. Planting

There should be a certain distance between the seeds when planting, and each seedling should not be too close to each other. Under normal circumstances, about 100 trees can be planted per acre of land. There should be a distance of about 2m between each seedling, and about 3m between each row. After planting, it needs to be fixed with soil and covered with some fine soil.

4. Planting Management

After planting, good management work needs to be done. Weeding should be done in time and branches and leaves should be pruned appropriately. You should also pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and pests. If diseases and pests appear during the seedling period, you should spray medicine as soon as possible to prevent the disease from worsening and endangering the normal growth of the trees.
