How to grow green radish in winter

How to grow green radish in winter

1. Keep warm

If you want it to survive the winter smoothly, you must keep it warm. If you leave it in a cold environment, it will get frostbite and its growth will deteriorate. When the temperature drops, move it to a warm place, especially at night, and make sure it is not blown by cold wind. Be careful not to place it next to an air conditioner or heater.

2. Water supply

Although water evaporates slowly in winter, it is still necessary to give appropriate water. However, the amount of water must be strictly controlled and appropriate watering can only be given after the soil becomes dry. In addition, the water temperature should be maintained at a level that is neither cold nor hot, and water at room temperature placed indoors can be used. The soil in the pot cannot be too moist. If water accumulates, its leaves will turn yellow and its roots will rot.

3. Room temperature

Usually in winter they are moved indoors, and temperature becomes crucial at this time. The minimum temperature should be maintained at around 10 degrees. If it is too low, it will be difficult for it to survive the winter. If the temperature is not high enough, you should put the green radish in a plastic bag, which can also keep it warm. However, for this method of keeping warm, you must pay attention to breathability and do not wrap it for a long time.

4. Lighting

It is relatively sunny, and in winter, the lighting time and intensity should be increased. The light at this time will not be too strong, and you will not get sunburned even if you are in the sun all day. Letting it get more sun can actually increase the temperature to a certain extent.
