How to grow hibiscus

How to grow hibiscus

1. Breeding conditions

1. Soil: It likes a moist growing environment very much, but it will not work if there is too much water. It is afraid of waterlogging, so flower lovers should try to use highly permeable soil when growing it. The nutrients in the soil are limited, so base fertilizer needs to be added to the soil before planting.

2. Light: It is not resistant to strong light, so only diffuse light can be used when exposed to light, and the exposure time should not exceed 5 hours.

3. Fertilization: It has higher requirements for nutrients during the growth period, and it is necessary to add nutrients to the soil to enable it to grow healthily. Generally speaking, fertilizer should be applied every two weeks during the growing season and once a month during the non-growing season.

4. Watering: It consumes water quickly during the growing period and needs to be watered every day. Water every other day during the non-growing season, and gradually reduce watering during the dormant period.

2. Breeding Methods

The most common method of propagation is by cuttings. Cut strong branches from healthy plants and insert them into the soil. They will take root in a cool place in a week or two.

3. Pest and disease control

It is more susceptible to pests. If you find that the branches and leaves are yellowing, the branches are too thin, and the branches and leaves are drooping, it is likely to be infected with pests. If it is indeed infected with pests, you need to use fungicide to kill the insects, and strictly follow the instructions for use. If you find bugs in the soil, pull it out, replant it, and then disinfect the old soil before destroying it.
