How to grow African jasmine in winter

1. Keep warm

When growing African jasmine in winter, appropriate cold-proof measures should be taken. When the temperature drops, move it indoors as soon as possible, or put it in a plastic bag to avoid being blown directly by the cold wind. Note that although it is warmer next to heating facilities, do not place the plants near them, as this will accelerate water evaporation and cause the plants to dry out.

2. Accept light

The sunlight in this season is very weak, and it will not be sunburned even if it is placed in the sun all day, so the place where it is maintained should be able to see sunlight. Proper exposure to light can increase the temperature to a certain extent. If you cannot keep it in the sun, you need to move the potted plant to a sunny location every day and allow it to receive at least 2 hours of sunlight.

3. Provide more ventilation

In winter, the plants are mostly maintained indoors. Be careful not to let the indoor temperature be too dry and stuffy. Open the windows more often when the sun is out so that the plants can absorb fresh air. If the plants stay in a stuffy indoor environment throughout the winter, they will not grow well and may not survive the winter.

4. Watering in moderation

The amount of watering for African jasmine should be reduced appropriately. If it is still moist, there is no need to water it again, and no excess water should be allowed to accumulate. If you maintain it in an air-conditioned room, you need to spray water from time to time to avoid the maintenance environment being too dry.
