How to care for flowers in winter

How to care for flowers in winter

1. Temperature

The temperature is lower in winter, and flowers generally have poor cold resistance, so it is best to move them indoors for maintenance in time and pay attention to temperature control. The temperature is best between 20 and 25 degrees. Too low a temperature will freeze the plants and affect their growth. In addition, if the environment is low temperature, you can water it with warm water in moderation to maintain normal metabolism.

2. Lighting

The light in winter is mild, so place it in a bright place and get more sun. If there is insufficient light, photosynthesis cannot be carried out well, which can easily cause the flowers to wither. Under normal circumstances, the amount of sunlight a day should be between six and eight hours.

3. Humidity

Flowers like to grow in a slightly humid environment. Normally the humidity should be around 45%. However, it is relatively dry in winter, so they need to be kept moist. You can sprinkle water around the plant in an appropriate amount on a sunny afternoon, or cover it with a plastic bag to increase humidity through photosynthesis.

4. Watering

During winter maintenance, pay attention to controlling the amount of water, and don't water if the soil is not dry. Normally, it is enough to replenish water once every ten days or so. Avoid watering too frequently and causing the soil to freeze, otherwise it will seriously affect growth.
