1. Whole melon propagationThis method requires you to first select the seed melons. Make sure you use those that are not frostbitten or damaged and are relatively mature. The weight of the seed melons should preferably be around 200-300g. Place it in moist sand, ensure a certain humidity, and maintain the temperature at around 15-20℃. After waiting for about half a month, its top will sprout. Finally, plant the melon in the soil with the sprouting end facing upwards. It is best to have a certain slope and then plant it well. 2. Cutting propagationWhen propagating by cuttings, cut the stems from a sufficiently strong plant and dip them in some rooting powder after cutting. Insert the branches into the substrate. If you are propagating a lot, there should be a certain distance between each stem, and the substrate should be kept moist at all times. Try to keep the temperature at 25℃, and it may take a week for the seeds to take root. 3. Naked seed breedingFirst take out the seeds, peel off the skin and keep the seed core. If the seeds are shriveled, try not to use them as the germination rate will be very low. Put it in warm water for germination, soak it for about 2 hours, and finally bury it in the soil, maintain the temperature at 20℃, and provide appropriate water. Seedlings will grow in less than a month. |
