Breeding methods and precautions of white pine

Breeding methods and precautions of white pine

1. Soil

It does not have high requirements for soil, as long as the soil has good enough drainage. In order to make the soil sufficient in nutrients, it is necessary to apply base fertilizer to the soil before planting plants.

2. Lighting

It has relatively high requirements for light, and sufficient light can make it bloom out of the pot. Generally speaking, the lighting time in spring and summer should not be less than 8 hours, and the lighting time in autumn and winter should not be less than 5 hours.

3. Temperature

Its low temperature limit is 5 degrees and high temperature limit is 35 degrees. If the ambient temperature exceeds the limit temperature, it will not grow. During normal maintenance, it is more appropriate to control the temperature at around 25 degrees.

4. Watering

It is a drought-tolerant plant that can store water itself, so it has certain requirements for the amount of watering. Spring is the growing season, water it once every half a month; in summer it will slow down its growth rate and require less water, so water it once every 20 days or so; in autumn and winter, if the temperature is above 0℃, water it once a month, and stop watering if the temperature is below zero.

5. Fertilization

Do not use nitrogen fertilizer when fertilizing it. Instead, use thin phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and use them once a month.

6. Notes

When exposing it to light, avoid strong light and provide it with diffuse light as much as possible. When the sunlight is not strong, it can be exposed to light all day. When applying fertilizer, you must control the amount. Too little amount will not achieve the desired effect, and too much amount will cause root burn. When watering in winter, make sure the water temperature is not much different from the maintenance temperature, otherwise the plants will be frostbitten.
