Soapwort cultivation methods and precautions

Sunlight needs

This plant is a light-loving plant, so it should be placed in the sun during daily cultivation. Ample sunlight can make its leaf and flower colors more colorful.

Water requirements

Its drought resistance is very weak, so it is very afraid of wet soil and environment, and it is easy to get diseases and pests in such an environment. Therefore, when caring for the plants, you must first choose soil with good drainage. Observe the soil during daily watering, and water it only when the soil is completely dry. If it is summer, although the temperature is high, you only need to water it about once every 20 days, and make sure to water it enough. An additional watering is required in early spring and early winter. Watering in spring is to allow the plants to grow better, while watering in autumn is to allow the plants to survive the winter better. This can also improve the ornamental effect of the plants. No water accumulation is allowed whenever watering is performed.

Nutrient requirements

The maintenance method of this plant is very simple. In addition to watering less, you should also apply less fertilizer. Fertilization can be carried out 4 to 5 times during the growing season, and spraying fertilizer can be done once during flowering to increase the toughness and ornamental value of the flowers.

Soil requirements

Just need soil that has good drainage and is rich in nutrients. It is not so demanding on the soil.

The need for pruning

Because it grows so quickly, it can be pruned or shaped during its growing season. It is very resistant to pruning. If the pruning effect is not good, it will return to its previous shape after half a month, so feel free to prune it without any worries.
