When to plant strawberries

1. Planting time

There is no specific requirement for the time of planting strawberries now. As long as the temperature can be controlled between 25 and 28 degrees, it can be planted all year round. But the best time to do it is in spring, when the fruits will mature about four months after planting.

2. Planting Method

1. Process the seeds: Strawberry seeds are different from other fruit seeds and must be processed before sowing. Put the seeds in gauze, soak them in water for about a day, and then store them in a low temperature environment for half a month. This can break the dormancy and increase the germination rate.

2. Prepare the soil: It likes loose, breathable neutral soil or slightly acidic soil. Before planting, the soil should be broken up, exposed to the sun for disinfection, and then mixed with an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer. Adequate nutrients will be more conducive to later growth.

3. Sowing seeds into the soil: After the soil is prepared, water it to moisten it, but the amount of water should not be too much and water should not accumulate. Then sprinkle the seeds on it, try to spread them evenly and not too densely, otherwise it will affect the germination rate.

4. Watering and maintenance: After sowing the seeds, cover them with a thin layer of fine soil, about two or three millimeters to cover the seeds. Then use a spray bottle to carefully wet the seeds. Be careful not to water them, as the seeds are too small and will be washed away.
