Jasmine

Cutting steps:

1. Choose strong, full and hardened (lignified) one-year-old branches, or branches that have bloomed. The branches must be free of diseases and insect pests, and the middle and lower parts of the same branch are best. Choose one with grayish white skin, slightly chicken skin wrinkles (hemp color), and a bit thicker.

2. Cut the branches into two sections, leaving two leaves and cutting them in half, mainly to reduce water evaporation. Cut the lower end of the branch into an oblique end.

3. Soak the lower end of the selected cuttings in the rooting powder solution for 30 minutes and then insert them into the fine sand. Spray water twice a day to keep the sand moist. Place them in a ventilated and shaded place, preferably outdoors, where the survival rate will be higher.

Money Tree

Cutting tips:

1. Use a clean knife to cut the one-year-old semi-lignified branches of the money tree. The branches should be strong and healthy, 10-15 cm long; the cutting should be clean and neat. The incision should be smooth and the lower incision should be horseshoe-shaped to facilitate the formation of healing tissue.

2. Remove excess leaves, leaving only two old leaves and the tender leaves in the core, in order to prevent the plant from dying of lack of water due to too many leaves and high evaporation.

3. Prepare clean river sand in advance, soak it in carbendazim solution for 1-2 hours, rinse it repeatedly with clean water several times and set aside.

4. Apply rooting agent on the cut of the branch, insert it into the river sand about 5 cm, water it thoroughly, place it in a cool and ventilated place, and spray it with water every day to keep it moist. You can cover the plant with a plastic bag or cover the surface of the river sand with leaves.

5. Generally after 20-30 days, the money tree will start to grow roots. After growing roots, you can prepare nutrient soil for transplanting!

Rubber Tree

Cutting method:

1. Cut the strong branches of the rubber tree into 12~15 cm, then burn the cut parts on an alcohol lamp (or scald them in boiling water) until the rubber tree no longer sheds white branches and leaves.

2. Cut off the extra leaves on the branches, leaving only 2 to 3 leaves, to avoid consuming excess nutrients. Insert the branches into the water and place them in a sunny place. Spray water on the leaves 2 to 3 times a day and change the water every 2 to 4 days. White roots will grow in 8 to 10 days. (Hydroponic rooting can improve the survival rate of cuttings)

3. When the hydroponic roots grow to 3~5 cm, insert the branches into the prepared potting soil at a depth of 7~9 cm, keeping the branches upright. After cuttings, cover with plastic to keep moist. Spray with clean water once in the morning and evening every day.

4. The roots will grow in about half a month. Wipe off the excess buds, water with fertilizer, and gradually move from a cool place to full light. New leaves will gradually grow!

Rose

Cutting steps:

1. Choose healthy branches that have not yet sprouted flower buds, cut the upper part into a flat edge, cut the lower part into a horse ear shape, and leave two small leaves on the top;

2. Poke a few holes in the bottom of a disposable plastic cup and fill the cup with vermiculite. Fill the tray with water and place the cup in the middle of the tray to let it absorb the water slowly, or pour water directly from above to fully wet the vermiculite.

3. Insert the branches to be cut into vermiculite and place them in a well-lit and ventilated place.

4. If there is no water, add water to the tray. Wait for a few weeks and when the roots grow to the bottom of the cup, you can transplant it.

Gardenia

Cutting steps:

1. Prepare a large Sprite bottle, transparent tape, and foam board. Use a knife to cut the large Sprite bottle into the shape shown in the picture, leaving a little part uncut.

2. Select the young branches of gardenia grown that year, cut the lower end into an oblique shape, and keep the leaves on top. Then fix it on the foam board as shown in the picture. The foam board should be cut according to the size of the bottle.

3. Fill the bottle with appropriate amount of clean water, place the fixed gardenia foam board in the bottle, and let the lower end of the branch be immersed in the water. You can add a little more water, and then you don't need to add water anymore. Then seal the bottle with transparent tape, just make a toothpick-sized hole in the bottle cap.

4. Place the bottle in a sunny place with a higher temperature. The more water droplets there are on the bottle wall, the easier it will be for the plant to take root. Then you don't have to worry about it anymore, you just have to wait for the surprise. It started to grow roots about a week into the summer, which was really great.

Bougainvillea

Cutting steps:

1. Prepare the cutting medium (vermiculite, perlite, peat, 1:1:1. Sand, sandy loam, etc. can also be used).

2. Cut sunny branches for cuttings. One-year-old woody green branches are best. Use a sharp knife to cut the cuttings. Leave two large leaves and half a leaf, and two leaves and one bud for small leaves. They should be about 7-10 cm long. Cut the base of the branch. If the cut is uneven and the tissue is damaged, use a sharp knife to scrape off the damaged tissue and cut the base into an inclined surface with one knife.

3. Prepare the rooting powder according to the instructions and soak the base of the cuttings. Use a clean (sterilized) wooden stick to diagonally make holes 7-8cm deep, then bury the cuttings, leaving the nodes with leaves exposed.

4. Pot the plant and pour some cold boiled water or bottled water into it to make the substrate in close contact with the base of the cuttings. Then cover it with plastic wrap to keep it moist. There should be air holes on it and it should be placed in a place with sparse sunlight for maintenance.

Azalea

1. Generally in May or September-October, take the young branches of the current year that have just become woody and have heels as cuttings, cut off the lower leaves, and leave 4 to 5 leaves on the top.

2. The cutting medium can be river sand, vermiculite, perlite, etc., and 1/3 to 1/2 of the cuttings should be inserted into the medium. After insertion, spray water and shade should be provided, and a brick should be placed at the bottom of the cutting pot to facilitate drainage.

3. Keep it moist. It will take root in about 20 to 30 days and can be transplanted in 2 months.

Hibiscus sabdariffa

Cutting method:

1. The cutting temperature of small hibiscus should be kept at about 25℃. Semi-lignified paper strips are the best choice for cutting branches. Old branches are not easy to survive.

2. Cut into small pieces of 10-15 cm, then you can plant them;

3. The best medium for cuttings is nutrient soil or peat with good water permeability and air permeability, but other media can also be tried, such as pure sand.

Osmanthus fragrans

Maintenance method:

1. The cutting medium should be loose, breathable, well-drained, acidic soil or sandy soil with high humus content. Vermiculite is the best choice.

2. The time for cuttings should be set in the morning or evening or simply on a cloudy day. Select semi-lignified branches, cut into 10 to 20 cm long, cut the lower end into a horseshoe shape, and leave a few leaves on the upper end;

3. Insert the cuttings about two-thirds into the soil at a spacing of 6cm×6cm, and then water thoroughly;

4. Make sure to keep the soil moisture at 50% and the air humidity above 85%. Avoid direct sunlight while maintaining sufficient light.

Pomegranate

Cutting tips:

1. Choose a piece of sandy loam with deep soil layer, loose texture, good water storage and fertility retention capacity;

2. Choose semi-lignified branches grown in the current year, which should be strong, full, and free of diseases and insect pests;

3. Bury the cut branches into the culture soil according to the specifications of 8 to 10×15cm spacing between plants and rows, about half to two-thirds of the way in;

4. Pay attention to controlling temperature, humidity and sun protection. The survival rate of pomegranate tree cuttings is as high as 95%, so in the near future you will have big red pomegranates to eat╰( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Hibiscus

Autumn sowing method:

1. When cutting, it is best to cut the tips of 1-2 year old branches as cuttings, 10-12 cm long, with 1-2 leaves on them. Cut off 1/2 of the leaves, flatten the base and insert it into the plain sand, 2 cm deep into the soil, shade and moisturize, and it will take root after 30 days;

2. After the cuttings have taken root, plant them in a small pot with old potting soil. Place it in a sparse shade for half a month, wait for new shoots and leaves to grow, then cut it into a small flowerpot with fertilized soil, and then move it to the sun for maintenance.

Camellia

Cutting method:

1. Depending on the length of the camellia cuttings, there are two methods: long cuttings and short cuttings.

2. Ear growth: Use branches with 3 to 5 nodes, axillary buds and terminal buds in the spring of the current year as cuttings.

3. Short spikes: branches with 1 to 2 nodes and about 3 to 5 cm long are enough.

winter jasmine

Forsythia is most suitable for cuttings in autumn and is a relatively easy plant to propagate.

1. When taking cuttings, select semi-lignified branches, each cutting is about 10-15 cm, and insert them into sandy soil.

2. Make sure to maintain humidity after planting, and the plants will take root in about two to three weeks.
