Hydroponic method of maidenhair fern

Hydroponic method of maidenhair fern

Three elements of hydroponics

Before hydroponics, you need to understand the tricks of hydroponics of Adiantum fern and master the following three elements:

Humidity: Generally, water should be sprayed every two or three days, and every day when the weather is relatively dry.

Temperature: Generally speaking, the leaves will not turn yellow if the temperature is above 5℃, but it cannot exceed 30℃. In hydroponics, in addition to controlling the indoor temperature, you must also control the water temperature, which should be equivalent to the room temperature.

Light: Be sure to provide shade and avoid direct sunlight. The stronger the light, the better. It should not be placed in the bathroom or indoors for more than 3 days, then moved to the windowsill for 3 days. Remember to spray water to ensure good growth of the plant.

Hydroponics Method

First, wash the roots of the soil-grown maidenhair fern and disinfect them with potassium permanganate.

Then find a container, add clean water, and mix in a nutrient solution in an appropriate proportion (nutrient solution can be purchased on the market) or use something to fix it at the mouth of the container or on the water surface.

The maidenhair fern is best planted on coral rocks. Place the coral rocks directly in the water and they will grow well after they are established.

Precautions

You can buy coral stone at the flower and bird market's rockery shop. There are many styles to choose from.

Before using coral stone, soak it in water to remove the salt. In order for the stones to grow moss, they cannot be placed indoors for a long time and must receive appropriate sunlight.

When growing hydroponically, do not allow the water to cover the head of the maidenhair fern. Replenish water in time during maintenance and change the water every 5 to 10 days.
