How to grow jasmine

How to grow jasmine

1. Breeding environment

1. Temperature: Jasmine sambac is not cold-resistant and generally operates best at around 20 degrees, so you need to keep warm in winter. It is best not to keep it outdoors. Of course, the temperature in summer should not be too high, preferably not exceeding 30 degrees.

2. Light: Jasmine sambac prefers light but is afraid of strong light. During the growth period, ensure good light and place it in a bright place. However, you should pay attention to shade in the summer and it is best not to place it in direct sunlight to avoid hazards such as leaf burns.

3. Soil: The main requirement for the soil is looseness and fertility, which will be helpful for the future growth of the Jasmine.

4. Ventilation: Ventilation is very important no matter in which season. Especially in summer, the plants should not be kept in a hot and stuffy environment. Ventilate appropriately in winter.

5. Watering: During the growth period, the amount of watering can be slightly more, but the soil in the pot should not be too wet.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Cuttings: Choose one to two years old, ten to fifteen centimeters long branches for cuttings, and the substrate can be sandy soil. After insertion, ensure the temperature is appropriate and the light is not too strong, and it will take root quickly.

2. Division: Division can be carried out in spring and autumn. Select lush plants for division and planting separately, and then also ensure that the temperature and light are suitable.

3. Proper pruning

For newly potted jasmine, all flower buds need to be cut off, otherwise it will be difficult for it to survive. Regular pruning is also required, mainly removing dry branches.
