Four seasons maintenance method of straw chrysanthemum

Four seasons maintenance method of straw chrysanthemum

Spring maintenance

Straw daisy can be sown and propagated in spring, which is done in April every year.

In spring, straw daisy should be exposed to sufficient light, but it also needs a certain amount of shade to avoid poor plant growth due to high temperature and strong light.

In spring, straw daisy grows vigorously, so you need to pay attention to the amount of water and fertilizer, but also be careful to prevent waterlogging in rainy weather.

Summer maintenance

The suitable growth temperature for strawflower is 15-25℃. It is not heat-resistant and will obviously grow poorly when the temperature is higher than 34℃ in summer. In addition, the light in summer is strong. If it is maintained under direct sunlight, the leaves of strawflower will become smaller, the plant will grow too tall, or even the leaves will fall off. Therefore, pay attention to shade in summer.

During the high temperature period in summer, strawflower often enters a dormant state and requires little fertilizer and water, and even fertilizer and water control may be required. On rainy days or during low temperature periods, the intervals between watering should be longer or no watering should be done. Try to schedule watering in the morning when the temperature is lower, and keep the leaves dry at night. Also, mist the plants frequently.

Autumn maintenance

Straw chrysanthemum is usually sown in autumn and winter to avoid the high temperatures in summer.

In autumn, strawflower also grows vigorously, but you should also pay attention to the intervals between watering and fertilizing. At the same time, pay attention to shade in hotter weather.

Winter maintenance

Straw daisy is not frost-resistant and will go dormant or die when the temperature drops below 4°C in winter. In winter, since the temperature is not very high, it is necessary to give it direct sunlight to facilitate photosynthesis and the formation of flower buds, flowering, and fruiting. And do a good job of controlling fertilizer and water, and try to arrange watering at noon on sunny days when the temperature is higher.
