When to sow chrysanthemum seeds

When to sow chrysanthemum seeds

1. Sowing time

The best time to sow chrysanthemum seeds is spring, which can be done around February to April. It is best to sow when the temperature is above 25°C. If the temperature is too low, its growth will be hindered.

2. Sowing Method

1. Prepare the soil: Before sowing, you should prepare soil with good air permeability, such as peat soil or leaf mold. Disinfection must be done before use. You can use carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl for watering, and finally put the prepared soil into the flowerpot.

2. Sowing: Mix the purchased seeds with clean sand, then sow them into the potting soil, cover them with a thin layer of soil, and use a spray bottle to spray water into the soil appropriately. Be careful not to water too much, otherwise the seeds will be washed out of the soil and it will be difficult for them to germinate.

3. Maintenance: After sowing, it is best to control the temperature at around 20-25℃. You can also cover it with a layer of plastic wrap, which can have a good moisturizing effect. Before the seeds germinate, it is best to keep them slightly moist and ventilate them properly when the weather is good.
