How to grow garlic hydroponically

How to grow garlic hydroponically

1. Cultivation time

There is no time requirement for hydroponics, but it is best to do it in autumn, when the temperature is suitable, it will grow more vigorously. If you do it at other times, you must pay attention to temperature control, which should be maintained at around 20 degrees, otherwise the seedlings will not emerge.

2. Choose garlic

When hydroponically cultivating, choose garlic that is free of pests and diseases and is not damaged. You can peel off the skin or plant it directly. Usually, peeled garlic grows better than whole garlic, so it is recommended to peel the skin before planting.

3. Operation steps

After the garlic is prepared, you can place it directly on a tray, or use a cup or mineral water bottle and fill it with water. Be careful not to place them too crowded, leave some space, because the garlic will swell after absorbing water, and crowding them too crowded will affect their growth. After that, pay attention to temperature control and seedlings will grow in about a week.

IV. Precautions

During the hydroponic period, be careful not to change the water. Just add water when there is less water. Change the water about once a week during the middle stage of maintenance, and rearrange the garlic after changing the water. It cannot be replaced in the later stage, and the green algae on it must be cleaned frequently to avoid affecting its growth. In addition, when harvesting, be sure to leave about three centimeters of length at the bottom, and the rest can be cut off.
