How to grow Schefflera chinensis to make it overflow the pot

1. Soil suitability

If you want the Schefflera to grow out of the pot, you must use suitable soil for cultivation. It is best to use soil with good air permeability and strong drainage performance. You can use a mixture of garden soil, peat soil and river sand. When planting, you can add some granular soil at the bottom of the pot to help better drainage.

2. Proper hydration

When breeding, you need to water appropriately. The amount of water should be controlled. Do not water too much. The principle of watering when the soil is dry and wetting should be maintained. During the growth period of the plant, there must be sufficient water to meet the growth needs of the plant, and it is best to maintain the cultivation substrate slightly moist. In addition, appropriate water spraying can increase the humidity of the breeding environment.

3. Suitable temperature

Schefflera is more likely to grow out of the pot when it grows in a warm environment. The cultivation temperature is relatively high. It is recommended that you place the plant in a place with a temperature of 20-30℃ for maintenance. Note that the temperature cannot be too high or too low. If the growing environment is too cold, it will grow slowly. When the temperature is below 10℃ in winter, it should be moved indoors as soon as possible.

4. Reasonable pruning

If you want it to bloom out of the pot, proper pruning is essential. Only by cutting off the branches that are not conducive to the growth of the plant can it grow more vigorously. Usually, weak branches, overgrown branches, dead branches and branches that have been attacked by pests and diseases should be cut off.
