How to cultivate purse flower

How to cultivate purse flower

1. Soil selection

Loam can be made from everyday culture soil plus leaf mold and fine sand. The pH value should be a little lower, and it is suitable to keep it at 6.0-6.5. The texture needs to be loose and the drainage performance must be guaranteed.

2. Long Days

It is a long-day flower, which has a demand for light and is relatively sensitive. It needs light exposure in the seedling stage to ensure the healthy development of the leaves. However, it should be shaded when the sunlight is strong in summer and should not be exposed directly to the scorching sun. Especially during the flower formation stage, it takes 14 hours to form flower buds.

3. Temperature control

It is more suitable for growth in a cool climate. The temperature of the seedlings should be kept at 20℃ during the day and 10℃ at night. If the temperature exceeds 20℃, it will have an adverse effect on its subsequent growth and flowering. It is afraid of high temperatures, so you should pay attention to controlling the temperature in summer and not let the surrounding temperature be too high. During the flowering period, it can be kept at around 10℃, which can prolong the flowering time.

4. Moisture Application

If there is a lack of water supply, the leaves will wither, so timely replenishment is required to ensure demand. However, too much water is not suitable, as the roots will easily rot. Also don't drip it on the leaves, as they may rot. After the flower branches grow out, the pot can be kept slightly dry, but not completely dry.
