Cultivation methods and precautions of golden safflower

Cultivation methods and precautions of golden safflower

1. Soil

It is easier to grow safflower in loose, nutrient-rich and water-conserving soil. Generally, sandy loam is often used. Sandy loam can meet its growth needs and make it grow more vigorously. In addition, the soil should be clean and it is best to disinfect it before use.

2. Water

During the entire growth process of saffron, it is necessary to ensure that the soil is sufficiently moist. The watering time does not have to be too strict, just wait until the soil layer becomes dry before watering. But you cannot water too much, as this will cause water to accumulate in the pot and cause the roots to rot. It should not be too dry, as this will affect the normal growth of the plant.

3. Temperature

Golden safflower likes a high temperature environment and requires different temperatures during the day and at night. The suitable temperature during the day is around 25℃-28℃, and the suitable temperature at night is around 15℃-18℃. Temperatures that are too high or too low are not suitable for the maintenance of safflower. Appropriate temperature control is more conducive to the growth of the plant.

4. Lighting

It prefers a mild, humid, and semi-shaded environment and is not suitable for growing in an environment with strong sunlight. You can place it on the balcony, but when the light is strong at noon, it is better to provide appropriate shade.
