How to behead a succulent peach

How to behead a succulent peach

1. Beheading Method

1. Before beheading, you must prepare a pair of sterilized scissors, because if there are bacteria on the scissors used, both the mother plant and the cut stems may suffer from black rot after beheading.

2. Use scissors to cut off the stem at the top of the succulent peach and cut off 2-3 leaves at the base. After beheading, apply some carbendazim and place it in a ventilated and dry place. The wound will dry and heal in about 3-4 days. At this time, you can replant the cuttings, and the mother plant will sprout quickly after beheading.

3. Wait until it sprouts new roots and then you can transplant it. After transplanting, you should place it in a well-ventilated place with scattered light.

2. Maintenance after beheading

Do not water it immediately after cutting the head. Wait until it grows for a few days and then place the mother plant in a semi-shaded place. It should be noted that it cannot be placed in a place with strong light immediately. The mother plant will grow many side buds in about ten days after beheading, and the plant shape will become fuller.
