How to grow snow orchids

How to grow snow orchids

1. Soil suitability

When planting, you should choose soil containing humus. You can mix garden soil and peat soil with an appropriate amount of leaf mold, and it is best to add bone meal. This way, the nutrients are more sufficient and the plants will grow better and stronger in the later stage.

2. Suitable temperature

It is not resistant to high temperatures and cannot tolerate low temperatures. It likes to grow at temperatures between 15 and 28 degrees. If you want to grow it better, you must pay attention to temperature control. When the temperature exceeds 30 degrees in summer, you need to spray more water to cool it down. In winter, you cannot provide temperatures below zero, otherwise it will affect growth.

3. Water appropriately

Watering should be adjusted according to its growth conditions. It should not be too dry nor have water accumulation. It is best to water the soil when it is dry and wet when it is wet. Improper watering can easily cause the leaves to turn yellow and even cause root rot. In addition, pay attention to watering more to ensure a certain humidity.

4. Supplement nutrients

It does not need frequent fertilization during the seedling stage, and the nutrients in the soil are enough for its growth. In the later stage, top dressing should be applied in time. Dilute the fertilizer before application and pay attention to using low concentration. In addition, use less nitrogen fertilizer before flowering, otherwise it will affect flowering.
