How to care for the newly bought anthurium

How to care for the newly bought anthurium

1. Temperature

It is more appropriate to place the newly bought Anthurium in a room with a room temperature of 20-30 degrees Celsius. It should be noted that although it can withstand high temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius under normal circumstances, its adaptability and condition are relatively fragile due to changes in the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid the heat and shade in summer.

2. Humidity

It is more suitable for a humid environment. When you first buy it, you need to use a sprayer to spray a small amount of water mist on its leaves to keep the surrounding air moist. In addition, it is best not to water it excessively when you just buy it, otherwise it may reduce the absorption capacity of the roots and cause the plant to wilt.

3. Repotting

Most of the pots in flower shops are relatively small, the soil inside has not been replaced for a long time, and they are not very ornamental. Therefore, you need to let it adapt to the environment for a period of time before repotting it. Replace with a larger potting soil with fresher soil. During the adaptation period, you can put the new pot on the outside of the old pot to increase its ornamental value.

4. Pesticides and Fertilizers

It is best not to apply pesticides and fertilizers to the newly purchased Anthurium. If any leaves or roots are rotten or attracted by insects, you can carefully cut them off with scissors. Wait for about a week for it to fully adapt to the new environment and then apply fertilizers and pesticides according to the actual situation.
