1. Mild frostbiteSymptoms: Signs of frostbite will first appear, and some leaves will become hydrated, shrunken, and transparent. Treatment method: Mild frostbite is not very serious, nor is it widespread frostbite. It only affects individual leaves, so there is no need to worry too much. As long as the maintenance environment is changed and the temperature is kept at around 10 degrees Celsius and not lower than 0 degrees, the plants can still survive, but those that are frostbitten will have no way to recover and will melt and fall off. 2. Severe frostbiteSymptoms: Most of the leaves and stems of the entire plant will show signs of frostbite. The leaves begin to become transparent, or even turn gray and black, affecting the ornamental value. Treatment method: There are two situations to deal with. If the stem is not yet transparent, remove the leaves that have been frostbitten, and then place it in an environment of 10 degrees Celsius in a bright and ventilated place for about a week. During this period, you cannot water it and wait for it to survive. If the stem begins to become transparent and soften, cut off the stem cleanly, apply carbendazim, and then leave it for observation. |
