White crystal chrysanthemum cultivation methods and precautions

White crystal chrysanthemum cultivation methods and precautions

1. Temperature

It is suitable for growing in an environment between 15 and 25 degrees, and will grow faster in spring. However, it also has a certain degree of cold resistance and can safely survive temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees Celsius. However, the temperature in summer is too high and needs to be cooled down. If the temperature is higher than 30 degrees, the leaves are prone to wilt and turn yellow.

2. Lighting

When breeding, place it in a place with very sufficient light and expose it to sunlight all day long. The color of the flowers will be more colorful if there is sufficient light. Otherwise it will affect flowering and growth.

3. Watering

It does not require frequent watering during maintenance. It does not like high humidity. Even if there is no accumulation of water, it will not be too wet, but it cannot be too dry. It is best to keep the soil half dry and half wet so that it can grow vigorously.

4. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer and needs to be fertilized frequently during the growth period, once every half a month. The main fertilizers should be nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Before flowering, increase the amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and stop applying nitrogen fertilizers to promote flowering. If you find that there are flowers that cannot be repaired by fertilizing, you must cut them off in time, otherwise they will consume nutrients and affect the blooming of other flowers.

5. Notes

It is prone to diseases and pests during its growth period, the most common of which are stem rot and leaf spot. The insect pests include leaf miners and blind bugs. When discovered, be sure to spray the corresponding medicines in time to treat them. In addition, it is also important to cut off the remaining flowers in time after flowering to promote new buds and flowering.
