How to grow Jade Plants in spring

How to grow Jade Plants in spring

1. Appropriate amount of water

Spring is an important growing season and it is necessary to provide adequate water for its growth. Generally, the interval between watering is three to four days. However, this is not certain. If the soil is dry during this period, it is necessary to replenish water in time. Adequate water is beneficial to its growth and also to its blooming.

2. Adequate lighting

The sunlight must be good in spring and try to get as much sunlight as possible. Generally speaking, the light in spring is not too strong, so there is no need to worry about the leaves being burned.

3. Suitable temperature

The most suitable temperature for it is between fifteen and twenty-five degrees. It should be noted that in the early spring, the temperature is still relatively low and if you are not careful, there may be frost damage. It is best not to drop below ten degrees.

4. Pruning

Jade plants also need pruning, and the best time to do so is in spring. Cut off diseased and weak branches and leave only strong and healthy branches, which is beneficial for future growth.

5. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

Growth is very vigorous in spring and requires sufficient nutrient supply. Fertilize once every half a month, and liquid fertilizer can be used. Pay special attention to potassium fertilizer, which can effectively promote growth.

6. Repotting

In order to effectively ensure the growth of Jade Plant, the pot should be changed regularly, generally once every two years. You can repot in spring by preparing some new soil and replacing the old one, and also trimming the roots during the process.
