How to grow lisianthus in autumn

How to grow lisianthus in autumn

1. Keep warm

The temperature in late autumn is already relatively low, so plants cannot be grown outdoors, whether in the south or the north. In the south, it should be moved into the house to ensure that the indoor temperature does not drop below ten degrees. In the north, it should also be moved indoors for maintenance. The difference is that there is heating in the north, and if the room temperature is too high, ventilation is needed to lower the temperature.

2. Increase Lighting

The sunlight in early autumn is strong, and normal light can only be obtained in the morning and afternoon. In late autumn, the sunlight will be much milder and the day length will become shorter, so you can place it on the windowsill to receive sunlight throughout the day. If the weather is good, you can place it outdoors for ventilation and sunlight, and then move it into the house when the temperature drops.

3. Appropriate fertilization

It needs to be heavily fertilized once in late autumn before the cold front arrives. Only in this way can there be no shortage of nutrients for the winter. You can use animal manure or chemical fertilizers, and use the amount strictly according to the instructions to avoid fertilizer damage.

4. Control watering

The climate in autumn is dry and water evaporates quickly, so the amount of watering needs to be increased appropriately to meet its growth needs. However, after late autumn, the temperature drops and the evaporation of water slows down, so watering needs to be controlled until it is stopped.
