When is the best time to harvest rice?

When rice is just harvested, the humidity is very high and it is not suitable for immediate storage. It is best to spread it out in the sun for 2-3 days before storing it.

Rice is ripe

Generally speaking, the growing period of rice is about 120-150 days. In the northern region, it is usually harvested once a year, while in the southern region, it can be harvested twice a year, from May to July and from October to November.

Rice harvest

Rice planted at different times has different harvesting times. For example, early rice is planted in March and April, so it can be harvested in late July, while late rice is planted in late June and can be harvested in October.

Rice Origin and Yield

The distribution range of rice is very wide. The main rice producing areas in my country include the Northeast spring sowing area, including Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and other provinces, and the North China summer sowing area, including Shandong, Henan, Hebei and other provinces.

As for rice, the situation in each place is different, and the yields in different regions and varieties are also different. For example, the yield of ordinary rice is about 800-1000 jin, while the yield of giant rice can reach about 2000 jin.
