Four seasons maintenance methods of Anthurium

Four seasons maintenance methods of Anthurium

1. Spring maintenance

It likes diffuse light, and the light in early spring is very suitable. It should be placed in a well-lit place and receive light all day long. In late spring, when the temperature rises and the light is strong, it should be moved to a semi-shaded place. In addition, spring is the leaf growth period, so you should water the plants frequently to keep them moist, but not allow water to accumulate. After new leaves grow, you need to apply fertilizer and nourishment. Only with sufficient nutrients can the plant grow more vigorously.

2. Summer maintenance

The temperature is high in summer and the light is too strong, so shade should be provided and strong sunlight should be avoided. Ventilate the plants more often to avoid high temperatures affecting growth. At this time, water is lost faster, so the frequency of watering should be increased. Water should be replenished in the morning and evening every day to provide a higher humidity environment to meet growth needs.

3. Autumn maintenance

The light in early autumn is still very strong, so it is necessary to block the light and wait until the temperature drops later to restore full light time. Also, you should reduce the frequency of watering to once every two or three days, and do not allow water to accumulate. When the temperature drops below 18 degrees, stop applying fertilizer to avoid root burn and fertilizer damage.

4. Winter maintenance

The light is mild in winter, so you should let it get as much sun as possible. It can bloom successfully only with sufficient light. If the weather does not permit, you should also provide artificial light. It has poor cold resistance and requires temperature control. It can only bloom when the temperature is above 15 degrees. It will easily get frostbite if the temperature is below 10 degrees. At this time, the temperature should be between 15 and 20 degrees so that it can grow normally.
