Cultivation methods and precautions of jade ornaments

The succulent plant Jade Pendant is not only beautiful in shape, but also very easy to grow. As long as you understand its growth habits and provide appropriate amounts of water, fertilizer and light, the succulent plant Jade Pendant will grow very fast and will fill the pot in no time.

How to cultivate jade ornamental

1. Soil selection

Jade plant is a succulent plant that is relatively drought-resistant but not water-resistant. Although it is not very demanding on the soil, the soil must be loose and breathable with good drainage. The flower soil can be prepared with three parts of coarse sand and three parts of culture soil. The flower soil prepared in this way has strong drainage properties, which allows the roots of the jade plant to breathe better.

2. Water and fertilizer management

The jade plant has a low demand for water, and even a simple spray of water every day is enough to support it. However, if the flower soil is dry, it is still necessary to water it. Generally, the soil in the pot can be slightly moist. Be careful not to have water accumulation at the bottom of the pot. Apply diluted liquid potassium fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer to the jade plant once a month, so that it will grow better.

3. Light and heat conditions

Jade plant is extremely light-loving and prefers an environment with a large temperature difference between day and night. It is usually best to keep it in the sun and give it more sun. This way, the leaves will become more compact and fuller, the plant shape will become more beautiful, and the leaf color will become brighter and brighter, thereby enhancing the overall ornamental effect.

Precautions for jade ornament maintenance

Because the leaves of the succulent jade plant grow too densely, when watering, try to pour the water into the pot along the edge of the pot. Do not water directly from top to bottom. After watering the leaves, poor ventilation can easily cause stem and leaf rot.

Although the succulent jade plant likes an environment with plenty of sunlight, it cannot tolerate exposure to strong light. In summer, the strong light can easily burn the leaves. Therefore, you can provide appropriate shade according to the situation. It is best to move it to a cool indoor place for maintenance.
